INSTANT FICTION is a live media installation by Sarah van Lamsweerde, on display until the 18th of Februari in De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam during the Something Raw Festival. The project was inspired by CCTV, which is found everywhere nowadays: stores, parking lots, nightclubs and so on. Although New Yorkers are a tough crowd to phase, these flying superheroes will have certainly turned a head or two. The supermen, built from three RC planes, serve as a promotion for the movie Chronicle, which apparently is about teenagers aquiring special superman powers.
LA-based filmmaker and director Adria Petty once suffered two ruptured eardrums and near deafness, which resulted in a surreal experience at the hospital where she had to take a hearing exam. The words she had t0 repeat felt intimate and created an internal struggle which she expressed in her latest short, which was filmed in just one day with model Jessica Cook. Via Nowness.
