Tsuri Collection

Video for Onitsuka Tiger launching the new Tsuri Collectiom Autumn/Winter 2010. Director’s Cut.
The concept video is an unique combination live footage and 3D geometrical shapes. The idea was to express the Japanese connection with nature; a miniature set was built with natural elements, water and plastic to reproduce a surreal atmosphere.

Die Maschine des Unterbewustseins

In 1931 the German psychologist Gunter Heidegger, homonymous but no related to the Messkirch philosopher, after years of studies proposed an incredible theory, absolutely amazing, able to decipher what is most obscure to the eyes of psychologists: the unconscious.Professor Heidegger, known for his reserved character, sometimes even obscure (known for his habit of frequently wearing a balaclavas to avoid recognition, “not to waste time talking to people,” as he used to say) he achieved his goal, working seriously and almost completely alone in his studio in Hamburg – his assistants have never believed in his project branding him as absurd from the beginning. The researcher claimed to have produced a device capable of read people’s subconscious.

A DreamCall Nightmare

“There are images found in the human unconscious that mean similar things to all of us. By understanding these images, it is possible to analyze our dreams and to learn from them. Our life experiences influence our interpretation of these images and as a result each person’s dream is unique to them and can only be truly understood by them.

“We can go fast through this video like in life ignoring images like dreams, or we can use them pay attention to them, take advantage of them and learn from them.”

New Archeology

“In September 1983, the Alamogordo Daily News of Alamogordo, New Mexico, reported in a series of articles that between ten and twenty semi-trailer truckloads of Atari boxes, cartridges, and systems from an Atari storehouse in El Paso, Texas were crushed and buried at the landfill within the city. It was Atari’s first dealings with the landfill, which was chosen because no scavenging was allowed and its garbage was crushed and buried nightly. Atari officials and others gave differing reports of what was buried, but it has been speculated that most unsold copies of E.T. are buried in this landfill, crushed and encased in cement. The story of the buried cartridges became a popular urban legend, with skeptics disregarding the official accounts. In 2005, Warshaw expressed doubts that the destruction of millions of copies of E.T. took place, citing different policies Atari practiced at the time.”
