James Blake \ The Wilhelm Scream

Electronica genius James Blake will release his self-titled debut album on February 7th via Atlas/A&M. Prior to this highly anticipated release, a video for one of the album’s tracks called The Wilhelm Scream in presented online today.

The hazy video looks as if it’s shot in an aquarium that has yet to be cleaned, with Blake’s silhouette all blurred and vague. Nevertheless, it suits the song’s dreamy atmosphere and makes us curious for more. BLEND Magazine #04 features an extensive interview with Blake. Fleet Foxes present Helplessness Blues

Two years after the release of the band’s self-titled debut album, Seattle’s finest Fleet Foxes is back with another masterpiece. The band’s new 12-song record is called Helplessness Blues and will be released next May on Sub Pop in the U.S. and Bella Union in Europe. Together with producer Phil Ek, the six-piece band worked on Helplessness Blues for over 1,5 year and their fans are waiting for some new material to drop.

The album’s title track has been released already; you can download it for free here. Fleet Foxes will start a tour in April; this will be the band’s first tour since August 2009 (tour dates here). We can’t wait for those summer evenings where we’ll have a glass of wine and listen to Fleet Foxes’ new record.

During Paris Fashion Week, Belgian designer Walter van Beirendonck presented a collection of ‘classic men’s fabrics clashed with fantasy things’, as the designer himself stated. The silhouettes, the colors, the textiles, the makeup, the awesome suits, the ponchos and the African models that were found in a street casting left the audience in awe. Our friend filmmaker Justin Wu has recently produced two nice videos that are definitely worth your attention. The first one features a compilation of fashionable, interesting but foremost funny shots of guy models having a good time backstage during fashion week in Paris and Milan. Wu created this video in collaboration with Jak & Jil Blog.
