La Fille d’O, a Belgium lingerie brand, is the enfant terrible of the lingerie world. Contradictory in a sense, because La Fille d’O is one of the few that literally celebrates the female body in all it’s forms. Without making concessions in quality, comfort or style La Fille d’O combines sexy avant-garde designs with shapes that bring out the well-rounded beauty in every woman’s body, without pushing or pressing.
Murielle Scherre is the founder of La Fille d’O and a remarkable woman. Besides pushing her brand to international success Murielle wrote and published two books, directed, produced and starred in her own porn movie and advocates a playful and respectful relationship to sex and the human body. Call it feminism of the 21st century, call it healthy common sense. BLEND Magazine was so impressed with the beginning oeuvre of this young woman that we met Murielle for a photo shoot and interview.

The olfactory sense in humans is probably one of the most underestimated ones. It has been proven to be crucial to the choice of our partners and the recognition of parents and children, and that the olfactory memory is the one creating the most vivid memories.
Similarly, the art of perfume making is one of the most underrated art forms in our societies. BLEND magazine met Patricia de Nicolaï; a descendant of Pierre Guerlain following the tradition of excellent classic perfume making, to shed light on this ancient craft.

Reed + Rader Super AR Avatar’s.
Pamela Reed and Matthew Rader met in Pittsburgh in 2002 while attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. “We both had blue hair, we both lived in the same building, and Pamela had a first generation Windows i-Pod so Matthew wanted to be friends with her.” From there on a collaboration started, combining photography with everything that is media related, ranging from illustration and collage to gamedesign and installation. Motivated to aspire nothing but themselves, Reed and Rader are best known for their ‘gif’ animations filled with surrealism and humor.
